Functionally, this is a wonderful, beautiful piece. I have an oversized garage, so I put it on the back wall for our shoes, gloves, scarves, and extra jackets. It's a great size with lots of storage, and it looks really great too. This took a long time to assemble. The steps were clear for the most part, but it took about 5 hours simply because it's a large piece. Getting the doors on the top to close evenly was a challenge.

Straight forward assembly that one person can complete in a few hours time. The hall tree is spacious and has lots of storage space. Although this unit is MDF, it is heavy, well made and sturdy. Its a great looking piece and will add some class and organization to the mud room! The bench is ample sized and will hold an adult, the hooks are sturdy and the bottom compartments will hold several pair of shoes and are the perfect size for a basket.
