First off, the finish is not wood, it is a cheap looking plastic like veneer (formica?). The assembly was straight forward but the two big doors do not meet up in the center (as pictured), there is about a half inch gap. I played with the hinge adjustments as much as I can but not any better. Will see if I can live with it but I may be returning (I hope I don't have to take it apart?).

This black sideboard buffet is very beautiful and easy to assemble as well. It works great for storage and fits in with any decor. The instructions were easy to follow and it is seemingly sturdy as well.

Was fairly labor-intensive. My husband is an extreme handyman and it took close to three hours to assemble. It also came with multiple dings and places where you could see it had been touched up.
