After reading other recent reviews I thought I would be one of the lucky ones who wouldn't receive a damaged product, so I took my chances... I guess I was a little lucky because the damage on the pieces I received were minor compared to other reviews, but it is disappointing that the main damage on the product I received is arguably on the most important piece... the top. I made sure to unbox and check over each piece before I started construction to ensure I wouldn't be surprised by anything once it was almost put together.
It took me several hours to put together by myself, but it wasn't necessarily hard. Make sure the middle piece (#5) is oriented correctly during step 1. I had to go back about halfway through to flip it so the bigger holes were near the top. Basically, if the boards aren't fitting flush together and it seems like the wooden dowels are preventing that, then your board is the wrong way.
Also pay close attention to the very last steps when attaching the doors to the cabinet. I don't know what the difference between hinges H and I are because they look and function the same to me, but I initially missed that the doors with H hinges go on one part, and I go on another.
For anyone struggling to get the doors level, or to close neatly, make sure to read the second-to-last page of the instructions where it explains how to adjust the hinges once they're attached. I had a finicky door and was able to quickly fix it using their tips.
Overall beautiful piece and exactly as described in the photos, but buyer beware that it will almost inevitably arrive damaged in some capacity.
