You definitely need two people to put this table together—the tabletop is heavy and tricky to align. Honestly, the instructions were junk. We started by attaching the bottom and then lowering the top over the panels, which was a nightmare. The sliding panels only work if you get them aligned perfectly in both the top and bottom grooves, or they won’t move smoothly. In hindsight, I’d recommend working backwards connect the two tabletop pieces first, place the eating surface face-down, attach the panels, then add the bottom piece last. Once secure, flip the table over. That would’ve been much easier and smarter. That said, you really do get what you pay for. The crease where the two tabletop pieces meet is obvious, and there are plenty of bumps, blemishes, and even some chips. Between the so-so quality and the frustrating assembly, I can’t say I’d highly recommend this one. I would return it but it’s just too difficult to do that!
