Shipping: The piece came packaged in a box inside a wood slatted crate with dense foam inside the box.  Only one small mark of where the box might have been bumped.  The piece came pre-assembled. The piece looks beautiful, and we thought it to be real wood before deeper inspection. We were surprised by how beautiful it looks, and love the curves and bevelled edges. The piece is solid and heavy. We inspected the whole unit before putting it on the wall, and everything looked great. Very clean, smooth, no visible blemishes. Drawers slide well and the side cabinet doors close smoothly. Great construction. The faux marble looks lovely.   Only after a couple days did we notice there was a tiny bit of "delamination" on one tiny portion the corner of one veneer, spanning a couple inches. My husband says it's a very small issue and can be fixed with just a tiny bit of wood glue. Important: The instructions are vague and unhelpful on their own. They allude to attaching it to the wall with the bolts given. Do not attach this way unless attaching to brick or stone, as it will pull right out of the wall. Fortunately my husband knew this and was able to use 2 1/2" long decking screws and put 6 of them in, anchored directly to the studs. (For proper installation, the screws needs to be counter-sunk, otherwise they will gauge the back of the unit. He needed to drill a place for the extra screws to make sure it was aligned with the studs. Highly recommend sinking into studs rather than drywall anchors, because of how heavy it is. Excuse our mid-construction look as we're renovating. It'll look a lot better on your wall than it does on ours right now.
