I find it comfortable, as I like a firm couch. I especially appreciate that the back cushions are not constantly getting flattened or shifted, as they do not detach. My only advice to consider if buying this sofa in pieces is that the corners are both left corners; you can rotate the seat cushion on one to make the ribbing direction match the rest of the couch, but the fit may be slightly off. It arrived with some scuffing and the specific shade of white already looked a bit dirty on arrival, but I was counting on it showing some wear early, anyway, when I decided to order a white couch.
