Put together fairly easily! Looks much nicer than you would think for the price. Appreciate the flexibility of having variable shelving. It does indeed appear slightly redder than it is in the photos, as other reviews stated, but is a nice color. We are actually using it as both a shoe rack and to store our children’s backpacks.

I have mixed thoughts on this piece. For the money, pretty solid construction, nice architectural design with the arches, and just the right size I was looking for. Overall it looks and functions good enough. However - I did have issues with assembly - in particular one bolt hole that was misaligned that I needed to modify. Also, the color here leans much more red - even orange - than what I believe most people consider to be walnut (or in the range of walnut/dark walnut). It is more noticeable than I had hoped when compared to other walnut furnishings in the room. There was also more color variation between various components (shelves/panels/legs) than I expected to see. Variation is expected for wood finishes, especially when the construction combines real wood and MDF, but this was rather extreme (see pics). I considered giving 4 stars as I was provided a discount due to these issues (Wayfair customer service is usually quite good), but factoring that out - I landed at 3. Worth buying if the color is not that important to you.

Missing parts cannot put together very unhappy. What kind of company doesn’t double check to make sure all parts are included. Very frustrating have company coming parts all over living room

I got the oak and I really like the medium-toned color. It’s close to golden oak without being golden. Still on the warm end. The construction is solid and I’m inpressed with quality for the price. I don’t know what kind of wood it is but it’s, pretty good quality, with some grain to it. I’m using it for a kids corner in the living room with lots of toys. I just which it were 5” taller and offered in a white oak option. I also didn’t find and issue with the open back since this table was against the wall and deep enough that you couldn’t see through the whole for a normal person standing.
