I just received this barrel chair and excited!
It came shrunk in plastic and quite heavy.
After cutting the plastic, this baby started to immediately expand.
That’s it for assembly! Just wait for this chair to expand!
There is a slight odor upon opening the shrink wrapped plastic, however it dissipated quickly.
The advertisement states that this is THREE things in one.
1. A chair
2. Floor lounger
3. Long bed.
SO…. It is actually TWO things - as the floor lounger AND the long bed - are exactly the same! Shame shame.
The green color is more a darker olive green and the fabric is very soft.
I love that the cover unzips for washing.
PLUS the bottom is non-skid.
This is not as comfortable as I expected. No matter how I adjusted, I found sitting in it awkward and uncomfortable.
The sponge is very hard. The back is hard and “bulbous”. The chair itself has a slight forward tilt.
As a lounge, it is comfortable “enough”, the back doesn’t have any give. There was no lumbar support.
As a bed, only the two flat panels were comfy enough for rest - nice and thick and firm.
In the photos it shows a woman comfortable using as a bed … Not happening here.
This chair is hard and awkward for one person to move it. It’s not so much the weight of it that makes it so difficult to move.
There is only one handle (it’s on the top) and a fabulous non-skid bottom. This bottom prevents the chair from moving - period - so using the one handle does nothing but open up the chair into a bed.
There’s no way I could keep the chair together and lift and move it by myself.
Now, this could work for a tween.
