When assembled the frame seems sturdy. But there were numerous issues with the assembly: -photo shows the parts as they were unpacked...not one was labeled. You had to identify them from very small, low resolution, hard to see pictures in the instruction booklet. -instructions were just pictures with letters on pieces & very difficult to follow -not enough nuts were included that fit the bolts. More had to be bought from a local hardware store -one cross piece in the headboard was not threaded, as it should have been. A work around had to be made in my work shop All in all, I would not recommend this piece.
