One of the planks came with the holes improperly drilled such that the screws did not fit. Another plank came damaged.

These are great simple beds. Easy to put together and seem solid. Perfect for our children’s room.

Kind of low to the ground thought it would be a little higher but an easy build, took about an hour to build just one person.

The oak is really dark and does not look like the picture on the website. More like a dark orange/red chestnut. The picture I posted is closer to the color but it looks even darker in person. To return it you have to take it to fed ex yourself and pay $60 so there is not much point.

Easy to assemble, however the metal used for the screws is a bit soft. One got completely stripped in the process of assembling the bed. And I have some awareness of how to use the drill at varying speeds. The frame and parts are of good quality, but the hardware (Screws) were definitely not. Be slow and patient assembling the bed to avoid stripping the screws.
