This floating shelf is really nice looks great and nice storage. Was planning on keeping consoles in drawers, but I dont think the air flow is enough unless you open drawer while playing . It is very heavy be sure you know how to properly install. My husband needed longer screws than what came with it and hung the shelf for me , wasnt to bad to build just lots of pieces and very heavy and long make it awkward definitely need two people to move it around and hang it.

I can’t give a full review yet because there are so many parts to assemble, and we haven’t finished it. It’s a little complicated and very time-consuming to put together. So far, though, it feels like good quality, and I really like the color. Once we finish assembling it and mount it on the wall, I’ll update my review

I’ll update the review with new photos once the mantle is installed. The mantle is very heavy as stated, easy to put together and looks like the online photos. The title states the mantle is 82”but the one I received is about 78”. Although I didn’t see it in the online description, the instruction manual states it can only be hung on concrete and brick walls. I do plan to hang the mantle, but because the wall will not be brick or concrete it will require stronger hardware than what was provided with the mantle.

So I'm planning to do something very different with this wall-mounted console...I have a vision for my living room of a grand faux stone European Fireplace with a hidden storage drawer in the mantel, and then built-in arched niches on either side encompassing the cabinets and having lights in each. This means the TV is gonna go, and we are opting instead for a pull down 4k/8k HD projector screen and projector system instead. So the focal point is the gorgeous fireplace, not a black TV rectangle. So, first I had to trim this down to be the size I needed, taking off about 10.75 inches altogether, split evenly on both sides. That means I had to rework a ton to get it all to go together right since I cut off edges that had the mounting holes etc on them. What I'm going to do from here is add a long drawer-front that will look like the mantel chunk of my inspiration photo here. And then I will sculpt in some legs and shape the top and then add a faux stone affect to finish it off. So it'll hopefully look like my inspo pic, but have a secret pull-out drawer to house the internet and gaming boxes and supplies, remotes, controllers, etc. Now about the console itself. First of all, putting it together with modifications took FOREVER, at least 4-6 hours! However, I would estimate it will take you at least 3-4 hours to put this together as-is out of the box. It's got a zillion pieces and hardware! Secondly, the material is OK (standard MDF stuff) and the finished usability of the drawers etc is just OK. Despite the gazillion ounces of oil on the drawer slides, one of them is very hard to pull out and push in (and no, it wasn't modified... as you can see that the inner two drawers are as-is from the box, and yet the right one of the two is not good sliding). The french cleat style mounting system for attaching it to the wall is OK. The holes aren't in it like a french cleat where they'd have enough options of holes to be able to secure it to studs, so I had to mark the studs on the board and drill my own holes through it into studs in the wall (YOU MUST PUT THIS IN STUDS, **NOT** drywall anchors)!!! But, it's ok enough. All in all, it's a good experimental product for me because I really didn't want to bother with building out a hidden drawer mantel thing, and this was a good framework for me to start with... took out a lot of hard work because I don't have a router to use etc to make them myself. So, for a free item from Tried and True, this was good enough. Here's to hoping the rest turns out as hoped for!
