I really wanted to love this desk. The stone top is beautiful, it’s spacious, and the storage is great. Unfortunately, there were two problems with the desk I received. Most importantly, the base makes the desk unstable. With the base pieces I received, the desk wobbles significantly and could rock/tip with surprisingly little force. Given the size and weight of the stone top, this was a safety concern in my home. I ultimately removed the original base and replaced it with a different set of legs with a wider four-point support configuration. It is now very stable, but a new desk, especially at this price point, should not require structural modification to be safely usable. Hopefully my base was just a dud and this is not a design flaw. Second, the built-in charging station I received does not match the product photos. The listing shows standard U.S. three-prong outlets, while mine came with universal/multi-standard receptacles. The desk itself has a U.S. plug, which makes the discrepancy particularly strange. I was not comfortable using the built-in outlets for my computer equipment. There is a lot to like about the desk aesthetically, and after modifying it I’m very happy with the workspace. However, the instability and the charging station discrepancy are significant enough that I can’t recommend it as delivered.
