Feels very high quality and solid. Drawers come all the way out and also feel really sturdy. Assembly involved just attaching the legs and the handles. Handles are solid metal and also feel really nice. The back of the nightstand and bottoms of the drawers are not solid wood but are supported with wood so Im not worried about them breaking. Plus it makes the drawers and whole stand lighter which I think is a good compromise.
