Sturdy, works perfectly for my narrow hallway and holds a lot of books

Easy to put together and looks great in the entry.

Great piece. I was looking for something with a small depth, and this one is just perfect. Easy to assemble and very heavy. The sides are solid wood and the rest is panels.

I had a hard time to find the perfect console (long, slim, light color) - this one checks all the ticks. Very nice, elegant and quite easy to assemble.

Like at least one other comment, the brackets are necessary and are angled very oddly - you can't really use a drill and even manual screwing took so long and the screws cannot be flush with the angle preventing it. The pretty photo of the item does not show that with reinforcement brackets included in the kit - you would see metal in the upper corners of the console. The colors are moderately off from the photo - I got a much darker looking wood than what you would expect for walnut -- even when the sun is shining or glowing on it. This is frustrating as it would be an ordeal to return it at this point but the shade is off from my walnut bedframe and side table that I was trying to match it to. The side pieces are real, solid wood. Overall installation time, cleaning, flattening of boxes and disposing of tons of styrofoam is about 2 hours--even though the actual assembly without the reinforcement brackets is maybe around 40 min.
