Discovered damaged pieces while unpacking.

I have assembled furniture that provided the same connectors as this table with no problems in the past. This base proved to be problematic. Perhaps the angles are challenging for the manufacturer and type of connectors, perhaps one of the sides is slightly out of spec. Three sides and joints assembled as expected, where the joinery is tight. The fourth side .. no matter what I do .. has a significant gap. The dowels show. The top was "flush" until it was connected to the base. Now the joint is a bit off, with one side slightly higher than the other. I believe it is caused by the same issue that kept the 4th base joint from being properly aligned. I tried to upload pics .. the site 'reset' and lost some of the description following the word "joint" in the prior sentence. There is an upload arrow icon where the upload photos option was previously displayed, so I don't know if the photos will be included herein. Please reach out if you want to see the photos. The table is a bit less stable than one would wish, but since only occasionally does more than one person use it (and I know to be careful), and it is placed on carpet, that is not a huge problem. I could not use the table on hard flooring material, as it is not flush at the bottom on all sides. Honestly, packaging it up to return would be a bigger hassle than dealing with the imperfection of the joint.
