Buyer beware. "Does not include slats" means you cannot use this daybed unless you purchase another item that acts as the front crossmember. They send a Left, Right, and Back side along with the 4 posts. There is no front piece and no way to lay "slats" across anything to support a mattress. Search here for "nordlink link spring" and you'll see what you need to be able to put a mattress on this daybed, and how much more it's going to cost you. Photo attached of unassembled view of what you actually get. Very disappointed in what was represented vs what was received.

I am happy with my purchase. Perfect size for my guest room, very sturdy and great buy!
