This was the worst to put together!!!! But once you get through that its actually very pretty and holds a lot of books!!! I was worried it would be wobbly but so far it is holding up. Giving it four stars because of the installation. I found it easier to do it leaf by leaf, instead of following the instruction

I love my new bookshelf!! Almost all of my books fit (I have a little book addiction as you can see by my photos ). It took me a couple of hours to assemble but the directions were very easy to follow. The bookshelf seems very sturdy as I have a lot of hard cover books on it. The price was so reasonable for the quality of the item.

It’s almost three hours and I wasn’t even halfway through assembly when my hex bit stripped. I was using my personal tool (see green handle) because the provided Allen key didn’t fit the screw opening. And I wouldn’t call them screws even though they needed to go through raw wood, the tip was flat and it took tremendous hand strength to get them fully in. Even with my green handled tool, my palm was being injured. I stopped assembly at this point because I don’t want to go back to an Allen key with at least 18 more fasteners to install. I’ll look for an alternative way to finish then update this review. It’s been a long afternoon. UPDATE I finally finished assembly. Eight hours later with breaks! After the hex bit stripped, I found an Allen wrench that fit. To save the pain to my hands, I attached the wrench to vise grips and was able to finish assembly almost pain free. I must admit it is a nice piece.
