I have been looking for this bookcase for months was going to have a custom one made on Etsy but the man’s shop burned down. So I ordered this one. It’s fully assembled which I wanted. And even tho it wasn’t the wood I wanted I ordered it. Well FedEx brought it this morning. Not only was the box falling apart as I watched it come off the truck. But the box was at least a foot shorter than it should be. It was completely broken and destroyed when I opened the torn and flapping pieces of the box in front of the FedEx man. I rejected the delivery obviously so he took it back with him. This was dumb of them to ship this by FedEx. This thing is heavy solid wood. Should have been white glove service. It was a thin cardboard box with a thin piece of plastic on it. It has NO chance of ever making it anywhere without getting busted. It weighs far too much to be shipped this way. I can’t even order another cuz it will just be the same thing. I don’t think it’s made all that well after seeing it in pieces. Such a shame. I really wanted this bookcase. Don’t even bother trying to get this tall one. It has no chance of getting to your house in one piece.

Nice, but the smaller one is much more well made. This one is glued together, the smaller is dovetailed.

2/5 shelves came misaligned. They were slanted diagonal instead of perfectly straight and rectangular. Very noticeable. Fully assembled so you could not fix this yourself. Wayfair was great at arranging a pick up for the damaged item and shipping a replacement. But the replacement had 1/5 shelves misaligned. Returned for a refund and would not buy again.

This bookcase looks really cool and unique - a great conversation starter! It's perfect for my board games and DVDs. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's not perfectly straight: due to the handmade nature, the alignment is a bit off (but it's probably not something guests would notice).

This is a great bookshelf - well made and holds quite a few books. Looks great in our room.
