We got both beautiful craftsmanship and a wonderful night’s sleep with this bed. We ordered the King-sized bed in Dark Cherry, and it has been a wonderful addition to our bedroom. The rich wood color makes a beautiful statement, and the craftsmanship is genuinely impressive. The solid wood construction and traditional joinery are not just selling points; the beautifully fitted legs and connections are a pleasure to look at. Assembly was straightforward thanks to clear instructions, well-labeled hardware, and included tools. With two people, we finished in approximately 1½–2 hours. One important tip: the package is extremely heavy! We unpacked everything in the garage and carried the individual pieces inside. Laying everything out beforehand made the process much easier. This is our first platform bed, and we couldn’t be happier. Our fairly thick mattress sits comfortably on the supportive wooden slats without a box spring. Eliminating the box springs was a tremendous improvement because our previous bed was too high and felt somewhat uneven. The new bed feels wonderfully solid, with no squeaking or movement. Another unexpected bonus is how much more spacious and inviting our bedroom looks now. The clean lines and attractive wood finish really enhance the room. Overall, this bed combines beautiful design, excellent construction, and genuine comfort. We’ve been enjoying wonderful nights of sleep since making the switch, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone considering a quality platform bed. It’s a purchase we’re very happy with!

Super easy to put together, it took maybe half an hour to 45 minutes. It’s very sturdy and looks beautiful in our space. My first sleep in this bed was amazing, and you really can’t beat the price. Personally there was no need for a box spring, but that may depend on your mattress. There is also ample space under the bed if you need to add a low pull out storage item. I would definitely repurchase this for multiple rooms in my home!

This was my first time ordering from Wayfair and it was an overall great expierence. This bed was super easy to put together I was able to do it alone. Now that its assembled it feels super sturdy which is the exact reason I purchased. I love the wood joints. The quality of the wood seems good for the , Im really happy with this purchase so far.

Sturdy bed, especially for the price. I purchased for my college-aged son, thinking it would be easy to put together and take apart for moves, but it is not a ‘tool-free’ Japanese joinery bed. There are over 30 screws and took two people about 30-45 minutes to assemble. It was well packed and did arrive damage free.

This is a very nice bed. I bought a full size for a spare room. It took about 45 minutes to put together. Keep in mind the Japanese Joinery is only on the two legs at the foot of the bed. The headboard is screwed into the side rails. Take your time and make sure the headboard and side rails are lined up properly before screwing in (you'll need two people). Bolts should go in smoothly before you feel them tightening up. This is a very solid bed and I'm very happy with it.
