Commode Fordmont

The building part was easy. One of the drawers didn’t come with the holes so we couldn’t finish the build. We ordered a new part and it is going to take almost 3 months to come in. Not happy with that.

I mostly put this together by myself. The main portion of the chest isn't difficult to do by one person, just be aware that each of the pieces are quite heavy. Also, the instructions for attaching the legs are a bit messed up - you have to only do a part of the previous step in order for all the screws and other pieces to fit in the correct spots - those two steps need to be broken out into 4 smaller steps. I had to undo my previous work (which was done strictly in accordance with the instruction set) in order to attach those legs. Son helped me with the drawers - I had trouble trying to get the pegs into the correct spots, but he was able to use a rubber mallet to make quick work of them. I did have trouble getting the final screws lined up correctly into the sliders, but eventually all but one connected where it was supposed to. The dresser looks really nice, and the recipient was thrilled when they saw it. I'm considering buying another one, for me this time.

Decent quality for the price. What bothers me most is that the drawers don’t even open half way, so most of your clothes you can’t see or reach in the back.

Difficult assembly, no matter how tight you get the screws, still feels wobbly.
