Scratched on top and drawers are hard to open.

Why don’t drawers open enough to get something out and see what is in it??!!

I say to put together and the drawers slid in and out easily for the first week or so but they get stuck constantly now on both dressers. Does scratch very easily too. Would not buy again.

This is, in general, a pretty good middle ground between higher-end, no-assembly-needed wood dressers and the build-yourself particle board/MDF stuff. It was fairly easy to assemble, BUT - get a drill. You will want it, even if you technically don't. Be prepared for some of the pre-drilled holes to be done badly/off axis - I had to drill a new hole at the right place/angle twice while constructing two of these dressers. The wood color is pretty nice, although I had hoped the pecan color would have been warmer/deeper. It is pine wood, so it is pretty soft, so you can scratch/dent it if you're not careful - but it's more robust than particleboard. The drawer slides seem perfectly adequate and I've had no issues. My biggest tip is to open the box outside or in your garage if you can - it is packaged with the cheapest, flakiest styrofoam I have ever seen, which will get everywhere. Ultimately, if you are handy with a drill this is an easy job, and I would give this 5/5 for the cheap closeout sale price I paid, but 3-4/5 stars at sticker price.

So, the dresser looks pretty good and is extremely sturdy. There were a lot of pieces but the directions were very good. I removed 2 stars because this was advertised as full solid wood. I spent hours looking through descriptions and specs and this did not mention use of MDF. But the very heavy back panel and all 3 drawer base panels were MDF or some kind of engineered product. I was definitely disappointed when I saw this, but decided to keep it and put it together. I bought it for a small basement guest bedroom and it fits well in the tight space.
