These chairs arrived and when we got the pieces out there was a lot of damaged to the seat edges, one side rail cracked and other scratched pieces. I am going through support to get the damaged pieces replaced but havent received them yet. They are nice chairs and the wood tone is very pretty. One of the main problems withnthese chairs is the seat installation. Once attached tightly as instructed , the seat cracks ans breaks when the dowel underneath pushes through.Once I get the replacement pieces I will try and update the review. UPDATE I received the new chairs( they sent the whole new set) So I put the new chairs together, tapped the dowels into the base as instructed. Made sure they were in as far as they could go. When the seat was then attached and set tight as instructed, we tried sitting in the chair. The dowel once again pushed up through the seat and cracked it badly. The other chair is having the same issue and the moment gets sat on the more its cracking the seat. I feel as though this is a poor design and a flaw. They are pretty chairs and it is a shame that I can not give it a better review.

The chairs required installation and I had a heck of a time getting the plastic (usually wood) dowels into the holes! This is embarrassing to say, but I literally put them in the freezer for awhile and then used a hammer to get them placed in the dowel hole, otherwise I couldn't get them in. Once I figured that out, it went fairly smoothly and for 2 chairs, it took me ~20 min. The color matches my walnut dining table well. They are comfortable and modern. I'm pleased with the final result.

The chairs are pretty solid, contemporary and stylish. Comfortable to sit on, easy to assemble with some force needed. Removing points because there is no way to attach the seat without drilling the holes. I just glued the seat on.

The chairs are made of quality wood and look as nice as the picture. However, they were not easy to put together and my husband applied a little too much pressure and the screw came through the top of the seat of the chair. It also was missing screws but we had some we used. Nice chairs but be cautious when putting together.
