Although not real leather, the feel is not starkly differently. Firmer than I had expected. Cannot sit on it for extended periods of time.

Beautiful looking chair though you definitely need 2 people to assemble it. Looks great in the office.

Love the chair and ottoman. Not too difficult to assemble, but I would suggest some felt pads for the feet if you're worried about floor marring. The seat is a little hard but I didn't notice it after a minute. Guessing it may soften over time, I would rather have too hard than too soft because it will loosen up. If I had the room I would buy another to match!
