The wood used for the tabletop was knotted with highly diverse grain patterns. We were not able to use it in the space we had intended as the look was too rugged. The stain was also flat with no apparent attempt at a finish coat and sparsely applied on the legs. Had it been sold at the full price or an easier item to return, we would have. As is, it is suitably price for and we are using it for a utility table.
