I bought this Gateshead dining table expecting a solid wood piece because that’s what the name and photos made it look like — but in reality the surface feels very smooth and glossy, more like a veneer or manufactured finish than true solid wood grain. You can literally see fingerprints and smudges on it right away, and the finish doesn’t have the texture or character I expected. It looks nicer in pictures than in person.

I love these chairs. Pros real wood, soft materials, great design Cons the leather is “vegan leather” which is pleather. Not a big deal but if you look super close it’s just a little different than “real leather”. Also assembly requires screwing directly into the wood (sometimes without pilot holes). Was fine for more but i used an electric screw driver. If you’re not comfortable doing that, get the professional assembly.

I’ve had them for a few weeks now, and they feel really sturdy. Overall, I’m impressed with the quality for the price!

Nice chair set, easy to install. It took me one hour to install them, the packed tool is a great help. The leather is soft and comfortable, I will buy a cover to keep them clean.

The chairs are both attractive and very comfortable, yes,a winning combination. I like the look and feel of the chairs. The quality of the product is pretty good, very sturdy. I also like the material of the cushion. And by the way, it is easy to put together. Value for money.
