The couch is very cute, but the whole process of getting it in was a fiasco. It’s important to note that I also paid extra to have the couch assembled.
When the couch arrived, the assembler said that the legs and a support piece for the chaise were missing. We called customer support right away to get the missing pieces shipped, and the assembler went ahead and placed the legs that did arrive on the couch.
I was excited the day the package with the missing parts arrived! Alas. When I opened the package, the support piece for the chaise was not in it. I called Wayfair customer service again, but the agent could not help me. She had to turn the case over to the furniture manufacturer. The manufacturer’s customer service agent wasn’t very helpful. It took several back and forth emails with me ultimately suggesting a path forward to resolve the issue. It didn’t seem like the support person could think through a way to get me the part I needed without my help.
Later that afternoon I went to install the legs on the chaise that had arrived, and noticed that the legs on the couch were incorrect. It was apparent that there were 3 left facing legs and only one right facing leg. The assembly person that I paid extra for should have caught that. (I ended up fixing that issue myself, as I had lost faith in Wayfair’s ability to help me at this point.)
All the pieces finally did arrive, but this was such a hassle. And remember, I paid extra for assembly and ended up having to fix a leg and assemble the thing myself as parts arrived.
To make this right, and to have any chance of retaining me as a future customer, I think Wayfair should at least refund the extra money I paid for them to assemble the sofa, because they didn’t really assemble anything. I did.
