Extremely disappointed in this item, especially at the price point. First, the color looks nothing like the picture. It does not have a grey tone at all like portrayed. Second, I have to echo the reviewer before me. It is NOT sealed or finished. On the first night we had it, we had dinner delivered and put the bag on the island for literally 2 minutes. It is now completed discolored where the bag was. Also, if you get one drop of moisture on it, it’s there forever. Everything stains it, which means the wood was not treated properly or prepared for the function of being a kitchen island. We are now going to be spending our whole weekend sanding it down and stainingsealing it ourselves. At this price point, I would suggest you find a different island to purchase. Very frustrating to pay 1,300 for a piece of furniture for it to not be manufactured correctly.

Poor finish. Needs a coat of polyurethane to protect from water and kitchen stains. Otherwise I love it.. especially the pull out table!

Do NOT buy. The wood is not treated. Any amount of water or moisture on it leaves a stain. So depressing. We slid a pot on a shelf with a little water on the bottom—finish ruined. We dropped some water placing flowers in the middle—stained. I’ve never seen a piece of wood so sensitive. We’re less than a week into purchase. Unless you want it to sit in a corner and never be touched, DO NOT BUY

Island is great. Very sturdy. Arrives assembled, so make sure your thresholds are wide enough as I have to remove trim to get it into the kitchen.

Itis beautiful, I am using it for my back wall cabinets, using the extra table for backing station am adding a bottom shelf for my backing pans and bowls, very elegant.
