I am extremely disappointed and angry with the lack of accountability shown by customer service. Just over the month after assembling this Murphy bed, both pieces labeled Part#17 broke at the welded joints. These metal parts should be strong and durable, but the welds are shockingly weak. Part#17 helps hold mattress in place when the bed is folded up. Without these parts, the mattress shifts, and I have to reposition it every time I set up the bed. Otherwise, the bed can suddenly spring back upward, making this a serious functional and safety concern. I contact CS and explained that I was willing to pay for replacement parts if they could simply contact the manufacturer. However, I was repeatedly told that nothing could be done because I was 33-days past the warranty period. I was also told that speaking with a supervisor would be pointless because I would receive the same answer. Their only suggestion was to search online myself for compatible parts. I have never experienced such dismissive and unhelpful customer service. Who would expect two essential metal parts on an expensive piece of furniture to break after barely a month of normal use?? I understand that companies have warranty policies. However, Murphy bed components directly affect both function and safety. A company should take greater responsibility for the quality of the products it sells and make a reasonable effort to help suctomers obtain replacement parts even if the customer is willing to pay for them. It makes absolutely no sense for the customer to be responsible for replacing a defective part.

It looks good but it just pops right back up when pulled down! The latches at the top should be black. The silver looks terrible. The anchor system is not even kind of workable for any normal drywalled home. We had to screw boards to the studs in the wall and then anchor the the bed. This whole thing took us 5 hours!!! It was ridiculous. I cant imagine doing it without power tools either. It would take even longer.
