The reviews are true this is a complicated table to put together. The instructions are a bit confusing so I left a picture on how the wood pieces should be aligned for it to make sense. It did take my boyfriend and I more than 2 hours to build. However, once you get past the annoying building the table has a beautiful finish. The brown is a deep rich color and the ridges are on the slab itself it isn’t something you have to velcro on or glue like other tables i’ve looked into. The storage space is great and the mechanism to elevate the table top works great. I will say if you are looking for a more shortground level table this won’t work for you, the table is already pretty tall before pulling the table top upwards as you can see in the pictures.
