I bought this with the matching bar table. The wood has a bit of a plasticfake feel to it, but it is pretty. They’re very light. I’m 5’8” and the seat is just a touch low. Sitting straight in the chairs, the table hits me in the mid-upper chest area. As a woman, having your breasts hit the table when you lean forward is unfortunate. We prefer high-tops, and I’ve never run across this problem from previous purchases or out at barrestaurants . I placed my sofa pillow on top of the seat to remedy the situation, but I can’t imagine anyone would want this as a long term solution. My first set sent to me was sent with incorrectly sized seats, but replacement chairs were sent out quickly.
