This is an excellent upgrade to that. The height is appropriate for him to be able to work at his bench, and is adjustable. The stool itself is sturdy but the seat kind of rocks a bit on the base. The seat cushion is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this stool!

The base of the stool is sturdy and feels like it’s made to last. It is easy to turn the stool so the seat goes up and down. Having the footrest makes it even easier to sit for long periods which is sometimes at 4 hours or more. It fits right into my office space so easily and is small enough it doesn’t take up too much space. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a comfortable seat that is nicely made and sturdy.
