UPDATE: We returned the new desk and were issued a replacement. (Note: Wayfoir customer service thrice told us they were shipping a replacement - only the last time turned out to be true. They also told us they sent a FedEx pick up multiple times and did not.) The new desk was not used, but we have now received 3 different sets of instructions, none of which were correct. None of which had the same hardware lists and none of those lists matched reality. I was able to make a plan to make it work. There were multiple holes that were not pre-drilled and holes that were that did not align and there is one ill-drilled hole that shows through the back of the desk. The desk does not match the images in this listing. The back is two pieces, not one, making for an ulgy line across the back, and the top shelves do not align to the back arch. Honestly, we knew to expect cheap, but this is just garbage. The image was so cute that I purchased it despite some red flags in the reviews and I regret it. It is absolutely not worth it. One of the reasons I shop at Wayfair is that I have come to expect excellent customer service. The customer service on this was terrible with one agent to the next telling me a different story.
The desk arrived used, dirty, and damaged. Hardware was thrown all about the package loosely. Ultimately, we found an empty Ziploc bag at the bottom of the box and not all the hardware was present. Wayfair has been slow to resolve this issue - a real surprise. Part of why we shop at Wayfair is for the good customer service. This has been a terrible experience both with this product and with Wayfair.
