Be aware this is not solid white, but has a white on white, kind of wood panel pattern. A piece was chipped off the front. It’s being used in an unobtrusive area so it didn’t matter and I kept it.

I love my bookcase. It was somewhat easy to put together.

This is very unstable. Adding the cardboard backing gives a false impression of added stability but under any true weight i would bet collapse to one side is a guarantee. The shelves themselves have no notches to lay over the pins, they can slide out way too easily. They simply rest on top of the pegs so any un level flooring and they are prone to falling out. The instability and shelf slide issue could both be greatly improved/solved if each shelf had 4 notches carved out to fit snugly over the pegs. I may do this myself because i will be storing laundry supplies on it, (detergent etc) and will not tolerate a full bottle of fluid sliding out onto our toes. I have the tools so…..
