The dresser came fully assembled except for the handles. Yay! It was well wrapped and had no injuries from the trip. The bed was a different matter. A rail that had been screwed to another piece had ripped off in shipping, stripping every screw hole and necessitating us "jerry rigging" a fix by drilling new screw holes offset from the stripped ones. It was a major pain. The headboard also had two serious rub spots on the same headboard slat, one on the left side and a mirrored one on the right side. Unfortunately the laminate was rubbed completely off in these nickel-sized rubs. We'll use a furniture marker and try to cover those. The worst part of our experience so far was the assembly instructions which were ambiguous and inspecific in places. When building the footboard we had to guess a few times as the directions photos just didn't show the detail we needed; when we guessed wrong, we had to partially disassemble and try again. Two people worked on the bed assembly for about two hours; but the frustration level got pretty high so it seemed longer at times. I can't comment on anything else right now because we haven't actually used the bed. If there are issues, I'll come back with an update.
