This item comes compressed/shrink wrapped and with ties, in case you're using it with a frame (such as a futon). The material is like chenille/corduroy with a different material on the bottom. I got this to go underneath my grandchildren's bunkbed, as a cozy reading or lounging area, but the off gassing is horrible. I don't even want this item in my house, let alone around children. I thought this item was Certipur certified but it's not. Update...left it to rise for 24 hours, flipped it over to reveal a huge hole.

Good crash pad for kids! I got this mat to throw over my kids foam couch stuff so it would hold together when they aren’t playing with it! The grip material on the bottom makes it work great. It also didn’t have any weird smells upon opening.

Got this because of the advertisement as a floor mattress. It works fine for that job. Ive got kiddos that like to use it. I wasnt sure what to expect material wise but its not particularly comfortable. It seems like a bunch of foam pieces were put in little pockets and so it feels lumpy sometimes. Nothing a kid would complain about though. Overall it does the job I neeeded it for and Im pleased with that. It does ship super compact and was a little difficult to open. But it does bounce up to shape within a couple of days. No harsh smells. The outer material is comfortable enough as well.

Nice thick cushion for a futon. Took about 24 hours to fully plump up but very soft and cushy. Had straps to secure to futon base. Highly recommend for the price..............................................

To call this a floor mattress is a stretch. I ordered this to use in my daughter’s room for when she has sleep overs or when she wants a “sleepover” with mom ). This is more of a futon mattress and not a floor mattress, floor mattress shouldn’t be included in the description at all. It made the floor a little more comfortable than sleeping on the carpet but not as much, I think there are more comfortable options out there. It came vacuum sealed and reached full thickness in about 24 hours. I expected it to be softer and more cushioned. It also had a really bad smell right out of the plastic, a really bad chemical smell. I let it air out for a few days, the smell faded a little but it is still there. I noticed it had a zipper which I thought would be good to wash the cover but it seems difficult to remove as you can see in the pics. It’s attached by a string on the inside via multiple holes. Overall, I would recommend as a futon cover but not a floor mattress. Stars were removed due to bad smell, unable to remove cover easily in order to wash and item not meeting expectations.
