Vitrine Modern Mood

The lighter Diamond finish piece I bought was a beautiful homogeneous, neutral "greigey" and white grainy color (perhaps a cerused finish?) and complemented our egret color and gray wire-brushed dining set nicely. However, it was a very large, heavy piece for two delivery men to bring into the house. The wood-framed glass shelves were already in the piece; maybe it's better to assemble them in the house. For some reason, the item tilted toward the front right side when placed against the wall and the right door was not even on the top with the left side. When the deliverymen were bringing it back outside, the whole bottom base came off. A thicker, sturdier rectangular base seems to be needed. The four plastic guides, not even quarter-sized, appeared to be insufficient in the number and placement for the weight of the piece and size of the base. I'd think you'd need to use the tip-restraining hardware. Despite my disappointment since I've been looking for a while for the right color cabinet with specific features, Wayfair's Customer Service and the manufacturer were very responsive in refunding my purchase quickly. I would have rated it higher had I kept it and the base was made differently. The picture shown here looks like the darker color.

Very nice piece--my client was very happy with it. It took us a moment to figure out how to turn on the lights but we did.

The cabinet is gorgeous and very study. Chose this one over many other choices for arched cabinets because it had a light and it went all the way to the floor (less dust to worry about). The first shipment arrived noticeably damaged, but the delivery folks were very helpful and Wayfair was very quick to respond and get another one shipped for my client. The second one, unfortunately, also arrived slightly damaged - the metal part on the bottom was bent on the side but these delivery folks were not as patient as the first and rushed a sign off so we didn't notice until after they left. The doors also don't line up at the top, which we may be able to fix. Would give this piece 5 starts if it would have arrived in perfect condition.
