Soooo....... to start with, let's talk about shipping. I ordered this on March 20th. It should have shipped from Southern California to the area around El Paso. (LA to El Paso is a ten-hour drive). It shipped on March 24th, and for some reason went to a suburb of Dallas, appx 10 hours farther east than it needed to go.
According to Wayfair's customer-facing tracking system (i.e their website), my order arrived at their El Paso distribution warehouse on April 4th. It was delivered today, April 14th. So according to their own website, it took 11 days to move 20 miles. According to the customer service rep I spoke with yesterday, the shipment had just arrived in El Paso yesterday. So, either their customer-facing tracking system is either either broken, or intentionally misleading, or their internal logistics tracking system is broken (or misleading their reps).
It was initially scheduled to be delivered on the 13th, so I can't say they estimate was too out of line, but I am a logistics professional, and I can get a shipment twice the size and twice the weight to the other side of the planet in much less time than it took this to travel a 10 hour car drive away.
Enough about that. It arrived a day later than the anticipated delivery date. No big deal, really.
Once my order was delivered, I unpacked it, and began to assemble it. It only took until step 3 to realize that the factory QC leaves something to be desired.
There are four sets of two nutserts (rivnuts, blind threaded inserts) on the desktop that the leg fasteners screw into. Mine desktop was missing two of them for one of the interior legs, making it impossible to assemble as-is. I called customer support, and the only thing the could do, was ship me a new desktop, which would take another seven days.
I took two weeks of vacation, based on the scheduled arrival of my order, to set up my home studio. Another week was untenable, so I declined.
Thankfully, I have the skills, tools, and parts necessary to rectify this manufacturing /QC screw-up myself, and my desk is now complete. I do not think that most of Wayfair's customers have the same capability.
All that said, the quality of the desk itself (not counting the missing nutserts) is better than I expected. Assembly is straightforward, the instructions are fairly well-written, and every (mostly) fitted together quite well. I do with that they included enough hardware to use all five holes on the desktop rack rails, rather then two each, but that wasn't difficult to resolve.
To summarize, minus one star for the inexplicable extended shipping time, and one star off for the poor QC.
