The file cabinet looks great. It had a lot of pieces, but we got it together. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism doesn't work properly. If we install the mechanism as directed, then the top drawer will not close. If we install only the bottom drawer mechanism, then both drawers close, but only the top drawer locks. It will work for me but I can't lock the drawers as intended. It would be impossible to assemble and return. This is a heavy file cabinet. I love the color. It would be beneficial to include an extra plastic locking mechanism in the event of a warped or deformed locking mechanism.

I'm a engineer and it took me over two and a half hours to assemble this unit; very tedious. Looks great, but when the bottom drawer is full, the unit tips forward when I pull open the drawer.

Quality is decent for the price. It seems like it wants to tip when opened so have to figure out how to distribute the weight. Also the bottom drawer has to be pushed a little harder to shut.

Make sure the footings are adhered at the corners when assembling! If too far mid from the front it tilts as soon as the door opens

Very sturdy locking filing cabinet. Clean, classic look.
