I wish this was a nice as it looks. This is actually quite attractive as far as office filing cabinets go. And it does suit my purposes. I had a heavier, darker filing cabinet that was starting to feel a little shaky and I thought this would be a good replacement, but honestly, I’m not sure if it’s going to hold the files well or last as long as the other one did (which was about 20 years). The brackets holding the filing cabinet seems sturdy enough although the files do touch the bottom when they’re empty — as they get fuller they tend to not touch the bottom, but it depends on how full they are whether or not they’re gonna drag across the bottom from the inside. My bigger problem is I’m not sure if the drawers themselves are going to hold up. They are fabric and either cardboard or plastic on the inside, (hopefully plastic for sturdiness) and they sit neatly into the metal frame with a little L for them to slide on. The problem is the bottom of the drawers should have some sort of reinforced plastic or something so that as they slide back-and-forth on that metal frame they’re not just scraping the fabric away. With any continued use this fabric is just gonna fray and fall apart. I’m gonna see if I can’t find a way to reinforce it using the kind of plastic that comes on plastic pocket folders and superglue it to the bottom side edges so it glides more smoothly with less friction on the bottom. That may make it hold up longer. I have confidence in the sturdiness of the metal frame itself. The fabric just definitely needs reinforcing. It’s also ridiculous that the flimsy handles that are attaching to an eighth of an inch thick piece of (again, either plastic or cardboard under fabric) didn’t come with washers to help prevent them from pulling right through the thin materials. I found some washers of my own and used them, but that front drawer should be reinforced thickness if it’s going to be holding up both the metal brackets for hanging the folders and a drawer handle, because I’m telling you right now if you put any amount of files in your file folders, you can tell as you pull on the drawer that that weight is going to make the drawer give out in the front as well. So, I’ll keep this item because it does look nice and it is suiting my purpose for holding files and freshening up my office area, but I’m gonna be on the lookout for something that is sturdier long-term, and still meets a lighter, feminine aesthetic than most filing cabinets. A couple of small tweaks on the manufacturing side would’ve made this much better: reinforced bottom drawer edges, reinforced front panels on the drawers, and better handles with washers, and maybe a slightly higher placement of the brackets holding the files. Can’t really recommend except for something short term or very light use.

I absolutely love this file cabinet! Not only does it have a very important purpose. It’s still very stylish.. I love the fabric drawers with the green and p purple paisley design which looks beautiful against the white wood of the cabinet it was very easy to put together and it’s perfect sized
