We already had a salon/barber chair but my wife was interested in getting a new chair that she hoped would be lighter and easier to move by herself, as the current chair is extremely heavy. We did a bunch of research and settled on this as the best option we could find. The chair arrived on time and undamaged, although the shipping box was in pretty rough shape. Assembly was straightforward and the instructions contained clear descriptions of each step along with pictures the showed the correct placement and orientation of each part. Most hardware was pre-installed in the location where it would go, saving time looking for parts - I loved that! Once assembled, the chair was indeed light enough to easily move, however, it is very small and nowhere near as stable or sturdy as our existing chair. It will only accommodate children or smaller, short adults. Anyone who is tall or closer to the upper weight limit (330lbs) of the chair simply will not fit or will be extremely uncomfortable. We got complaints from clients from the start and ended up putting our old chair back, which no one has ever complained about. One client specifically said she liked the old chair much better and did not like the new chair. That said, even one unhappy client is too many. Other than the above, the chair operated as described. Recline works well and the armrest move with the chair as it reclines, which is nice, but the release handle is much harder to access and operate than our other chair. The hydraulic pump works fine and the cushions are comfortable. The footrest seems rather flimsy and will likely be the first thing that breaks on this chair.
