Beautiful piece. More firm than I thought but it’s sturdy and steady enough to set a plate on.

Looks like a shrunken bale of hay, a round one It's colorless, maybe faded. I was expecting distanct striping, but there are only vague distinctions from one band to the other. The sides are not smooth: it looks like a litter of kittens caught their claws on its sides. I wanted the company to take responsibility for sending a product that was not the same as the product I ordered. They offered $9 back on the almost $200 I paid.

We just love this piece! It multi tasks and we can move it to 3 other rooms on our house! I purchased 2 thinking about when entertaining, we would have more places for drinks and small plates!!! I recommend this pouf-ottoman, the colors and materials are perfect❤️❤️❤️
