I was really excited when I found this 60” solid wood dining table as an open-box deal—it felt like I was getting something beautiful and high-quality at a great price. I imagined it becoming the centerpiece of my dining space, where meals and memories would be shared. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into disappointment the moment the table arrived. Right out of the box, I noticed visible cracks in the wood. At first, I hoped they were minor surface imperfections, but a closer look revealed stains across the tabletop and an uneven finish. The surface isn’t flat or smooth—instead, there are slight dips in the wood, almost as if someone previously tried to sand out stains or repair damage but didn’t finish the job properly. What’s most concerning is that these aren’t just cosmetic issues. The cracks appear to be structural, not something that can simply be buffed out or refinished. Wanting to be sure, I reached out to a professional woodworker, who confirmed my concerns. To properly repair the damage, I was quoted an additional $800—on top of what I already paid. What I expected was a gently used, high-quality table. What I received feels more like a heavily damaged piece that was unsuccessfully repaired and resold. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would strongly caution others considering an open-box purchase like this to inspect carefully or be prepared for potential repair costs.

Absolutely stunning table! Was worried about it looking too contemporary for a coastal home but the colors and construction go perfect with the vibe. Solid construction and gorgeous woodwork!

First and last purchase will ever make with J&M/ apparently Wayfair.. I received this table with the white glove delivery, the put it together damaged and they will not replace the table, the table wobbles and was separated at the base. I called that same day, sent photos, a video and they only wanted push for me to take 20% off to keep a damaged table. Basically are not flexible to help to replace it and have yet to respond to my requests for help. They don’t feel they need to have a good service and can just take your money, to sell you damaged products.
