The top piece of cushioning is held on by Velcro and moves easily. The lid is held on by very small screws that cannot handle the strength of the springs in the shock mechanism. The springs will not snap open to hold the lid up they are wayyy too strong and would rip screws out of the sides of the piece if I tried. The look is nice but it is not made well and annoying to construct. Definitely not worth the price.
