That may be solid wood, but it is extremely lightweight and came with several marred board places. I'm not about to send it back as the assembly pro was here ready to put it together. He, by the way, was very professional and did a good job. It will serve the purpose at our beach house, but I certainly would not use it anyplace that was going to get a lot of use.

This bed was okay

Can’t give an honest review of the product due to it was damaged upon opening. One of the side drawer panels was crack through to the exterior side of the groove that holds the drawer bottom. And the headboard/back board has a small surface crack on the top of the bottom curved corner where the boards are connected. Contact with the company is highly suggested through email for faster responses. Email was sent on Saturday with pictures. Today is Thursday and I have not heard from the company. I called them and I got a recorded message stating to email for faster responses. Will update when I get a reply from customer support.
