Upon opening the box I said,Wow! That's so pretty." The deep color with the beige upholstery is strikingly pretty. I must add that the chairs were packed well. Shipped in 2 boxes with light Styrofoam, so no dents, which is great! The wood doesn't meet at the top of chairs in 2 areas where wood curves. There is wood stain on upholstery at top of one chair and both have cracked split wood which interferes with integrity of how much weight it will hold where seat screws into back. I will have a professional wood worker look at it to see if it needs repairs before assembly. The chair design is so beautiful, I hope the manufacturer gets these issues resolved. So far the chairs are holding up well 2 mos later. The wood stain still bothers me on the upholstery. Other than that they are gorgeous.

These chairs are beautiful. I always loved the look of King Louis chairs, but didn’t know if they’d go with my design aesthetic. I’m glad I took the plunge on these through the Tried & True program because they actually do work with my home decor. I will say that putting these chairs together myself was something of a struggle. One chair had one hole in the back leg where the screw just would not get into the hole no matter how hard I tried. Eventually, I had to use a rubber mallet to knock it into place - and the screw still isn’t all the way screwed. I’m small enough that I don’t think I’ll end up on the floor, but it’s still annoying that the manufacturer didn’t ensure all of the holes were wide enough for the screws and everything aligned properly.

Gorgeous chairs, and made a great finishing touch to our dining room. Very well-packed, very sturdy, well-made chairs. I would say the company that makes these chairs takes great pride in overseeing the craftsmanship. The seats are quite firm, so if you're looking for soft and cushy, they are not. But they are comfortable chairs, and we prefer the firm seats over our soft upholstered dining chairs, which in time have gotten just a tad too soft. Hubby says he did not like the wrench that came with the chairs for assembly, but he had one of his own. After he started using his own tool, he said the assembly was very easy. The bottoms of the chairs have no covering as you can see in my attached photos. I have never seen that before, and while I prefer covered, I love these chairs so much, I still give them 5 stars. Love these chairs!
