The chair is beautiful and looks great in our living room. Though described as brown, it’s basically a very dark red, which fortunately is fine for our living room color scheme. The main downside is that it’s very difficult to get into the reclining position. There is no lever to pull; you have to push with your back and arms while seated in the chair. It takes a great deal of strength. Also, there’s no way to sit up in the chair and have your lower legs raised to the same height as your thighs. If I had been able to sit in the chair beforehand, I wouldn’t have purchased it.
