We chose to assemble the island ourselves, which was fine for us, but some people may find the process to be pretty intricate. Paying for the assembly may be the better route if you're not a handy person. Otherwise, we like the island, it fits our needs and added some valuable cabinet space to our small kitchen.

This kitchen island is exactly what I was looking for. It is sturdy, has lots of room for storage, the counter top works well for preparing food and even having afternoon tea or a light meal. It is aesthetically pleasing. I paid the extra money to have it assembled, and I am glad I did. The assembly was easily scheduled, she was very professional and did a wonderful job! If I would have attempted the assembly, it would have been extremely time consuming and frustrating. I recommend paying to have it assembled.

Works for us as we live in an apartment, and don't have a large dining area. This rolling island extends my countertop space, and provides the pullout extension for use when we need it!
