This Murphy bed is lovely. I assembled it myself. 5’3” 135lbs took me about 5 hours split over 2 days. It would’ve went faster had I used a drill for the first stretch vs a screw driver. It was packaged so well. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Would definitely recommend.

This Murphy bed looks so elegant in our office and is perfect for when guests come over. Took over 6 hours to assemble, but definitely worth it in the end!

I originally bought another murphy bed cabinet from another site but it was poorly designed (some parts didn't fit correctly) and cheaply made (it included some fabricated wood panels) so I returned it and bought this one instead. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was how much heavier these boxes were compared to the first one I ordered. As I unpacked it, I was impressed with this being all wood and very sturdy. Two pieces arrived damaged but Wayfair was very good about sending me replacement pieces. Overall, I would guess that it took me 8-10 hours to put it together over a couple of days but it's very well designed and easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. The predrilled holes all matched up and they included extra screws and small parts just in case. One other note, even though the product detail page suggests a 4" mattress, it fits a 6" tri-fold mattress just fine.

The wood is solid, the piece looks beautiful. There was one broken piece. We fixed it to finish assembly. However, the mattress was way too big. This piece clearly requires a full size mattress and not a queen, which we were encouraged to buy. We were refunded and repurchased the correct size.
