I love it, but it is way more yellow than i thought it would be. Even though the color wasnt quite what I wanted, I still gave it 5 stars for quality and craftsmanship. Cute storage is always a plus and it looks great in my modern apartment, but, would look great in just about any type of interior. It was pretty easy to assemble as well.

This bench is adorable and has a very soft fabric upholstery but also the seating feels nice and firm. It is a neutral off-white or cream color with a top that flips up to reveal storage inside. You get about 5 inches deep of storage inside. The style is very neutral, clean and elegant. I am extremely happy with the quality of this piece.

This bench doesn’t quite meet my expectations, but I guess it’ll do. It’s attractive and seems fairly well-made. The teal fabric color is a touch darker than I thought it would be, but that’s fine. The style of it is a nice blend of modern with a nod to traditional, which makes it quite appropriate for a transitional decor. The velvet has a very nice feel, and the cushioned top is firm and supportive. Putting it together was a little bit of a hassle because it was completely dissembled (which the listing states) — not only did I need to attach the legs/sides at each end with inner brackets, but I also had to attach the lid and the hinges. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did take a little while to get everything lined up correctly and I had to redo a lot of the corner brackets to get it so that it was evenly angled at both ends on all four corners using an Allen wrench. It’s not as deep as I had hoped, and as you can see in the photos, that’s partly because some of their dimensions were slightly off. It’s supposed to be 6 inches deep but I’m missing about 3/4 of an inch inside (storage area) and the height from the floor to the bottom of seat was supposed to be 7.5 but it’s 8 1/4, so that’s where those 3/4 would’ve come in handy when you’re trying to store a lot of sheets. (I’m using this in my bedroom window to replace the drawers that used to be under an older bed that we switched out for a newer bed with no under bed storage drawers.) The rest of the listing dimensions are correct. My other problem is that this has a very strong chemical smell and I aired it outside for two or three days and it got a little better, but it’s still a really strong chemical smell from whatever material they used to make it — the inside and the outside of the bench. In addition, the hinges that allow you to open and close the bench and hold it open leak a little bit of the oil lubricant that’s used inside of them. I placed a clean cloth over my sheets to protect them from that, but it’s annoying and hopefully will stop soon. If you can get this at a sale price it’s a nice enough bench, but three stars is a little generous for what I expected versus what I received.

Overall this bench is pretty nice. It came well package. One person can out it together, however getting the top of the bench on would be easier with two people. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the fabric feels like it has almost a waxy coating on it.
