Even though my son knew this bed was lower than others, he thought it would be fine. We ended up buying a 4” boxspring so his mattress was higher. The headboard feels shorter as well. The large chenille courderoy fabric is soft but doesn’t look high end. My teen likes it but I don’t love it. My son said he felt like he was sinking through the slats - so the boxspring fixed that. The wire baskets underneath allow small items to fall through. Now we are needing to solve another problem.

Great piece!
